Method

Instructions
  1. Prepare the crust: In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix well until evenly moistened.
  2. Press the crust mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate. Use the bottom of a measuring cup to firmly pack the crumbs.
  3. Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C), or until lightly golden.
  4. Let the crust cool completely before adding the filling.
  5. Make the filling: In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter and peanut butter until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until combined.
  6. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until the filling is smooth and creamy.
  7. Pour the filling into the cooled crust and spread evenly.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the filling to set completely. Before serving, top with whipped cream and chopped peanuts (optional).

Notes

For a richer flavor, use salted peanut butter and reduce the added sugar slightly. You can also add a layer of chocolate ganache for an extra decadent treat!
