- Gently wash all berries and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Cut the watermelon into bite-sized cubes. Remove any seeds.
- In a large bowl, combine the cubed watermelon, sliced strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries.
- Drizzle the lime juice over the fruit mixture.
- Add honey or maple syrup if desired, and gently toss to coat everything evenly. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
- For best flavor, cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves, if desired, and serve chilled.
Notes
For a more intense berry flavor, slightly muddle some of the berries before adding them to the salad. You can also add other fruits like cantaloupe or pineapple.
