Method
- Step 1: Begin by combining 1 cup of rolled oats and 4 cups of water in your high-speed blender. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy, which usually takes about 30-45 seconds.
- Step 2: Next, place a nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer over a large bowl or pitcher. Pour the blended oat mixture through the strainer, allowing the liquid to flow through while discarding the oat pulp.
- Step 3: In a medium saucepan, combine the strained oat milk with 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Step 4: Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir frequently until the mixture is warmed through. This process usually takes about 5-7 minutes.
- Step 5: Once the creamer is heated, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool. After it has cooled down, transfer the Cinnamon Pumpkin Oat Milk Creamer into an airtight container for storage.
- Step 6: Before using your creamer, remember to shake it well, as the ingredients may separate over time.
Notes
This creamer can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. Shake well before using.
