Ingredients
  

For the Casserole
  • 30 oz frozen hash browns
  • 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 16 oz sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 0.5 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder

Method
 

  1. Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the frozen hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, diced onion, melted butter, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Step 2: Grease the inside of your crock pot with cooking spray or a little bit of butter.
  3. Step 3: Pour the hash brown mixture into the crock pot and spread it evenly to ensure even cooking.
  4. Step 4: Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  5. Step 5: Once cooked, serve the casserole warm.

Notes

This casserole can be made healthier by using lower-fat options like reduced-fat sour cream or cheese, or even adding vegetables for extra nutrients.
