  • 1 pound Fresh Green Beans trimmed
  • 10.75 ounces Cream of Mushroom Soup condensed
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup French Fried Onions
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce optional, adds depth of flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder optional

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Wash and trim the green beans.
  2. Place the trimmed green beans in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce (if using), and garlic powder (if using).
  4. Pour the soup mixture evenly over the green beans in the slow cooker.
  5. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, or until the green beans are tender.
  6. Stir in half of the French fried onions during the last 30 minutes of cooking time.
  7. Top with the remaining French fried onions during the last 10 minutes of cooking time.
  8. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

For a richer flavor, use homemade cream of mushroom soup. You can also add other vegetables like sliced mushrooms or diced onions. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
