Method
- Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Step 3: Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well until fully combined.
- Step 4: In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt, then gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Step 5: Fold in chocolate chips and pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading evenly.
- Step 6: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Step 7: While blondies are baking, mix together peanut butter, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder until smooth.
- Step 8: Once blondies are done, allow them to cool for 10 minutes, then spread the peanut butter filling evenly over the top.
- Step 9: Melt the remaining chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and drizzle over the peanut butter layer.
- Step 10: Let blondies cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
Store your blondies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze for up to three months.
