Instructions
  1. In your slow cooker, combine the milk, heavy cream, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Whisk everything together until well combined, ensuring no lumps of cocoa powder remain.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 2-3 hours, or until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth and warm.
  4. Stir occasionally, especially during the last hour, to prevent scorching and ensure even heating.
  5. Once the hot chocolate is ready, carefully remove it from the slow cooker. The handle will be hot!
  6. Pour into mugs and top with your favorite toppings, such as mini marshmallows, whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your warm, comforting slow cooker hot chocolate!

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet. Adjust the sugar to your liking. You can also add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a spicy kick!
