  • 16 ounces Chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter softened
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Heavy cream cold
  • 1 cup Chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 1/4 cup Milk cold
  • As needed Gummy worms
  • As needed Plastic spiders
  • Optional Chocolate shavings

  • Food processor (or ziplock bag and rolling pin)

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Crush chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a ziplock bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Beat in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. In another bowl, prepare the chocolate pudding according to package directions using the cold milk.
  6. Layer the crushed cookies, cream cheese frosting, and chocolate pudding in a 9x13 inch baking dish, starting with a layer of cookies. Repeat layers until the dish is full, ending with a layer of cookies.
  7. Decorate with gummy worms, plastic spiders, and chocolate shavings (optional). Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use double stuffed Oreos. You can also add other Halloween candies to the decoration.
